A manager was in a dead-end job which wasn’t using his knowledge and expertise, and unhappy because he couldn’t see other options. Following coaching with Amicas, he changed his approach to his job, found ways to circumvent the processes that had frustrated his efforts, and was consulted by his manager because he seemed to be more proactive, enthusiastic, and creative in responding to issues. He uncovered a niche to fill that enabled him to move out of that area into a role which had previously been outside his expectations, and fully exploited his talents, to the benefit of him and the organisation.
